The Asheville Buncombe Adult Soccer Association (ABASA) is a volunteer-led organization guided by a dedicated Board of Directors, bringing together nearly 2,000 players annually as the second-largest adult soccer league in North Carolina.
The ABASA Mission
ABASA is a community-based adult soccer association in Asheville, NC, dedicated to providing quality, competitive, and affordable soccer opportunities to the citizens of Asheville, Buncombe County, and Western North Carolina. With 4 distinct leagues and 13 divisions, ABASA is a cohesive, community-driven soccer powerhouse. We welcome players of all genders, skill levels, and schedules, offering league play 3 days a week along with frequent pick-up games around town.

Soccer is everywhere, and it’s only growing. Our “little mountain soccer community” has over 1600 players, with most of those players having growing families. ABASA is continually working to nurture our current sponsorships, as well as forming new relationships with our community businesses.
Scholarship Opportunity
The Bier Garden Good Will Scholarship is intended to benefit an ABASA player who has suffered recently from tragic circumstances beyond their control which have left the player with a financial hardship. The scholarship will cover one player for one player fee for the fall season and one for the spring season.
