Treasurer

Josh Cavenaugh, newly appointed Treasurer of the Board, relocated to Asheville in 2010. Prior to relocating, he enjoyed a stellar soccer career at North Carolina Wesleyan and at his Alma Mater, UNC Wilmington. After a short stint in Chapel Hill as a business process analyst, he made the move to Asheville to be closer to family. He currently works full-time at UNC Asheville within the Finance Division and also is the Director of Goalkeeping at Highland Football Club as well as the goalkeeper coach for Asheville City Soccer Club.

As you can probably tell, soccer has always been great passion of his and provided him opportunities ranging from youth to club to college and now has provided him with the amazing opportunity to coach at the youth and semi-professional level. ​The newly appointed Treasurer of the Board still spends a considerable amount of time playing in both Coed and Open leagues and is by far the best goalkeeper Asheville has seen in decades.

Since the man is dealing with money, it would be wise to note that he currently holds a B.S. in Business Administration/Accountancy, an M.A. in Business Administration and M.A. in Accountancy.
