Wizards win O-30 NC State Cup!
The Wizards defeated Phoenix FC of Raleigh 4-1 this past weekend in Greensboro to bring the O-30 State Cup title to the mountains for the first time ever. Three goals in the final 20 minutes of the first half gave the Wizards a comfortable 3-0 lead at the half. However, Phoenix did not surrender easily as they drew a pk in the first 5 minutes of the 2nd to cut the lead to two. The Wizards were never in significant danger though and tacked the final nail in the coffin in the 85th to begin the celebration. The Wizards efforts were aided by contributions from a guest player from each of Smush FC, Pack's Tavern Rangers and GreenMan United. Congratulations to the Wizahhhs!!!
